In June, attended the very first BBQ organised by the Sec 2 ('08) squad. This was the last time I joined them as the IC.

In June, went to Kuching, Sarawak with some other RSNPCC cadets. My first time taking flight, to a interesting state.

In June, I was promoted to the rank of Station Inspector (SI). A rank that I thought I'll receive only in my dreams...

In roughly August, I receive the Friend of Singa award. A very surprised award I received so far.

After 4 years of chairpersonship, I was awarded the Best Class Chairperson award.

In September, ended 4 years of study at Riverside Secondary School to get ready for O lvl.

In November, went to work for the first time in my life...

In November, the first time a class gathering is successfully planned and executed, all thanks to the job of the class comm. ( Note that I am novice in such area, so very hard for me to get things right)

Went for the very first Christmas party in my 16 years. Organised by my aunt. Yet on that faithful day, I stepped on dog poo at their doorstep. (All the work of this Chihuahua)

Although I have gained so much, done so much, but the price to pay is very high. Some valuable treasures are lost because of these achievements. May these bad memories be washed away by time and things go smoothly in 2009.

Forgotten many things that I used to do this year.

Friday evening, I asked Nigel a question he asked me quite sometime back.
"How to cheer someone up?"
He said I gave the answer quite sometime back. I forgot, so he gave me the answer.
"Tell the person to do something he/she likes and forget about the troubles for a while."

The answer made quite an impact. That night, I started questioning myself, "What are the things that I like to do?".

The following day, a saturday, while I was glued to the computer thinking of the same question again, my cupboard under the desk caught my attention. That cupboard stores many things. However I usually open it to retrieve my diary for writing. I opened it again and found many stamp albums and quite a number of stamps not detached from the envelopes. It suddenly dawn on me.

My hobby, the thing I like to do is to collect stamps and arrange them neatly and nicely in the albums. I had not been paying any attention to them since Sec 3 when workload starts to increase.

So there I go, spending my saturday afternoon fiddling with my stamps. Soak those that are not detached and re-arrange my whole collection. Simply wonderful. It's like going back to the past. How I got every stamp, I still remember very well.

Troubles seem to cease as I start to work on them. And the credit for helping doesn't go to someone older, but to my friend, Nigel...... =)

As I promised Nigel a lunch and to celebrate his birthday, put both together and celebrated 3 days later. Work and tight schedules had caused it... Sad... Went SAFRA play pool and bowling after that with Zheng Xiong and Syarif. I don't know how to play both games, but Nigel taught me, and I tried. Got hold of bowling faster than pool. Sad to say, got addicted too...

Monday, 8/12/08
Hari Raya = no work. =D Zheng Xiong invited us to KBox, but changed plan due to some reasons and then back to SAFRA for more pool and bowling with Nigel. Bowling wasn't fun. Maybe I was a bit tired that day. Played darts too. I am very lousy at it. =p

Coach treat us dinner, as a form of reward for passing our BM. Eat like siao, then met Vivian there. So long never see her... Coach shared some NS stories with us, 'cos Tommy going in tmr. Gd luck to him... =)

They came back from their CL camp!!! Quite excited when I heard of the results. Must congratulate the following people:

Syarif, for becoming the Best Male Camper

Kia Chyi, for becoming the Best Improved Female Camper

and lastly, the squad for surviving the camp.

Hopefully, you guys learn something from it and can practise what you have learnt not only during trainings, but also in daily lives. You guys have all improved from the camp, regardless whether you attained anything, or get to lead in anything. There will be more chances coming up, so do work hard and CHIONG AH!!! =D

Heard of you guys having some disagreements during camp. Hopefully the incident will pass adn get leave behind at the camp... Disagreements are bound to happen. I think I have been thinking too much lately. Take it as an opportunity to strengthen bonds. A good and close relationship has to go through sharpening too...
